The Bookish Academy:

  • To participate, children should be from the ages of 5-9 and do not need to know how to read.
  • Parents will teach a formal Math, Phonics and Handwriting Program (suggestions available)
  • The Bookish Academy: can do much of your homeschooling for you. Our literature-based approach uses repetition and rich stories to help your children explore language arts, social studies, fine art, and applied math & science. We meet online for three days per week for one hour.
  • Each week we read one picture book three days in a row on Zoom, and each child is required to have a copy of that book at home with them on the screen to complete the lesson.
  • Books can be borrowed from your library or purchased at nearly any bookstore.
  • We include the teacher manul in the price of the subscription. Parents can draw from the many resources within the remaining school days.

  • Teens read (or listen) to the monthly book selection on their own time, at their own pace.
